Widening Participation

The College can offer specifically designed courses for community groups.

We have accommodation which is suitable for family learning and we are working in partnership with community education and other organisations. Again, we can specifically design courses to meet the needs of groups.

For adult learners returning to education we offer short taster courses either as day or short residential. We work in partnership with local colleges, universities, the voluntary sector and Connexions to offer opportunites for progression.

We are actively working with the local FE colleges and universites to offer courses to enhance existing provision.

As a college we are able to offer the flexibility to meet the needs of local communities and offer learning opportunities which are innovative, enjoyable and enable people to learn in a unique environment.

We have:

  • Worked with a number of Surestarts within Stoke on Trent.
  • Developed and delivered courses with College in the Community and Connexions.
  • Offered Bitesize.

  • Offered courses with New Horizons, Burton-on-Trent.
