Welcome to the Learning Inter-Action web site primarily aimed at teachers in Stoke-on-Trent using interactive whiteboards within the LIA project. Everyone is welcome and we hope that you find the site useful.
Additional whiteboard support from the LEA is also available from the 'Stoke-on-Trent Interactive Whiteboard Project' at www.sgfl.org.uk/subsites/view/default.asp?doc=1866
It's worth bearing in mind that most IWB resources are great for use with just a projection screen and data projector (or a large monitor) or even when working with a small group gathered around an ordinary computer screen. What's so special about an interactive whiteboard? Click here if you are unsure.
We want to save you the time and energy spent searching for (or making from scratch yourself) the resources you want in order to make your teaching with the IWB really sparkle (remember that you do deserve some life outside of school!) by:
Please do send in your ideas, your experiences of what has worked well, and details of IWB software and/or web resources that you have found to be effective in supporting your teaching so that we can share all of this with others. Please email these to me, Stephen Holland, at sholland@sgfl.org.uk and I look forward to adding them to the site.
This support site is an integral part of the project 'Improving Attainment, Changing Cultures in the Classroom through the use of Interactive Whiteboards' supported by the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund and managed by The Haywood City Learning Centre. Find out more about this project by clicking here.
